Loving Cambodia

Hey everyone! I have officially survived one week of Cambodia. I can honestly say even though it has only been a week God has stretched me beyond my confort zone in every way possible. I am so thankful for the support around me because if I wouldn't have had their support and God on my side, I know I wouldn't be here. When we got to Battambang we moved into a home that we all call the "treehouse" because it honestly looks like one. We also had a shower outside and a squatty potty. After spending one night there I began to think to myself, "I can't do this for two months, and I really want to go home." as I cried myself to sleep. The next day God  completely changed my heart overnight, and I woke up telling myself if I can spend eight weeks in a treehouse and help transform someones life in Cambodia, then it's worth it. God blessed me more than I could have ever imagined because I surrendered my wants to him, and now we are staying in a hotel!!! I am so thankful and feel blessed beyond belief.

We are working with a ministry called Transform Asia. Transform Asia is a ministry used to educate young children who have been exposed and who are at risk for sex trafficking. I love each and everyone of the children, and I feel so blessed God wanted to use me to help mold the young people into who they will become. I am so excited for the next few weeks. We will actually be able to be teachers and help all of them learn english. I am so grateful for the heart God has given me for Cambodia and the wonderful children that he has put in my life for the next eight weeks. Please keep praying. I love you all. 🙂
