Washed and Renewed to Serve a Holy God!

Thank you for logging on to read my first blog post! I am so excited about my journey to go witness for four months to the women and children of Cambodia who have been forced/trapped into a lifestyle of sex trafficking. A little about myself for you who do not know me, I was born and raised in Oxford MS, where I attended Oxford High until I was kicked out my senior year. At that point in my life, I was totally lost and darkened in my understanding of who God was and who I could be in him. Back then I was engulfed in sexual immorality, hate/fights, depression, alcohol, drugs… etc. Although these acts were searches for a purpose and acceptance, I soon became totally consumed by a wicked lifestyle and was reduced to only a shell of my former myself.  I can confidently say I lived a life that glorified only my fleshly desires and because of that it lead to my death.
How I resurrected:  BUT OF COURSE THE STORY DOESN’T END THERE!  My transition point came when I moved up to Cleveland to try to graduate from high school. There I was able to detox and clearly see how my life was wasting away.  God worked on me constantly and slowly softened my heart to get to receive Christ. (Of course at this time I didn’t know this). Simultaneously, I was tempted in so many ways to continue in a life of sin. I did not want to submit to my parents because of past hurt and anger. So, I considered stripping, prostitution, and drugs to be able to have money to live my life by my own terms. I was at my lowest point.  Then one night I after a physical fight with my father, I had to tapped out to Christ. I cried out for God’s help by lifting my hands up to the heaven like I had seen old people and the people on TV do.  But this time, the difference was that I was sincere. I said “Lord please help me! I don’t understand, I don’t know…” It was safe to say I was completely broken. Then the most incredible peace came over me. My tears were eased and my heart felt content. God had saved me ! Hallelujah !!!
Since that night, I have been in a process of sanctification and have been blessed with amazing spiritual leadership to pour into me. My Christian family has helped equip me with knowledge, wisdom, understanding of God’s love and word so that I can go to spread the gospel to God's beloved childern. So from the bottom of my heart I want to say I LOVE YOU ALL and I thank you so much!!!!
Please continue to log in weekly to see the wonders that God is doing in the lives of the women and children in Cambodia and the lives of me and the other missionaries.

Romans 12: 1-2: "Therefore i urge you ,brethren, in view of Gods mercies , present your bodies  as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind , so that you may prove  what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. "
